Civic Tech is a new kind of civic engagement that uses technology and has become a key building block for democracies in the digital age.
“#CivicTechFest” is a week-long collection of events coordinated by the Open Culture Fundation alongside the WCIT. The main highlight for the Civic Tech Fest is “TICTeC@Taipei: The Impacts of Civic Technology Conference,” co-hosted with mySociety.
The conference will feature speakers from the Omidyar Network, UNICEF, the Web Foundation, government ministries of France and Taiwan, leading universities, and many more. It is a great opportunity to to bring together researchers and practitioners from across the globe in Asia’s Civic Tech hub, and to showcase our sector’s initiatives to the wider IT industry. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity!
